Berea Midpark High School senior Marcus Thomas competed this weekend representing the state championship team Westshore B at the USFSA Midwest, Pacific Coast High School Final Competition!  He received:

Marcus is a proud member of the Brooklyn Figure Skating Club.
Congratulations to Rachel and Anthony for finishing in 4th place and winning the pewter medal in the Championship Dance event at Adult Nationals! They also won 1st place in the Adult Gold Partnered Pattern Dance event. Rachel also competed in the Adult Gold Emotional Performance II where she finished in 5th place.
Congratulations to Alexis for earning 2 more gold test medals, making her a 4x gold test medalist! She passed the Solo and Partnered Viennese Waltz, completing both Gold dance tests.
The Graduating Senior Award program recognizes student-athletes who have worked hard to pursue figure skating while maintaining their academics. While figure skating is not a traditional school sport, it requires the same dedication, perseverance, and time management as any varsity sport. It is the goal of U.S.Figure Skating to help ensure these student-athletes are recognized for those skills.
There are four categories of recognition based on competition and test
achievements in all disciplines of figure skating. Student-athletes are rewarded based on their highest level of achievement at either the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level. This year, awards are being presented to over 700
student-athletes.
