New Learn to Skate Instructor Seminar to be held July 26

The Brooklyn Figure Skating Club with help from a grant from the Greater Cleveland Council of Figure Skating Clubs will be hosting a new learn to skate instructor seminar on July 26 from 12-3pm at the Brooklyn Recreation Center.  The seminar will focus on teaching skaters ages 13-20 with an interest in coaching skating.  They will learn how to get into coaching, coaching best practices, and the framework of Learn to Skate USA.  There are only 20 spots so sign up quickly!  The registration is due by July 19.  Please see the attached flyer and registration form for more details.  Be sure to bring skates as 1 hour will be on ice instruction.

GR8 to SK8 Clinic a Success!

The Brooklyn Recreation Center hosted their GR8 to SK8 clinic as part of National Skating month.  The Brooklyn FSC skaters had the opportunity to skate on live TV as part of the promotion of the event.  The club was well represented with many skaters being highlighted on the WKYC Sunday morning telecast.
